VJ performance - Piotr Wyrzykowski, aka Peter Style

The video art work doesn't have to be linear anymore. There is no need to define the strict end and beginning, or even the middle part. The video work is usually recorded on the tape or CD and used to have one form, edited once and forever. Now, new computer-based tools give an opportunity to perform the video art work like jazz composition. The VJ can improvise live with audio-visual material and create the final form of the piece in front of the viewers' eyes and ears. The desire for the perfect synthesis of music and visual art of the avant garde has come true, embodied in the VJ's software.
